An Ayurvedic reset is a whole-body reset.

It’s great to do a couple times a year, and Spring is an ideal time.

You get better results when you restore your nervous system with Ayurvedic self-care practices, like tongue scraping, dry brushing, oil massage, and spacing out meals.

Increase the impact by joining our community. It’s fun, and we learn from each other through sharing our experiences, discoveries and challenges.

This is a deeply rejuvenative program.

You will be preparing and eating lots of delicious, nourishing food. You’ll also be giving your body space to properly digest and detoxify.

This program is not about restricting your diet, though it is possible you release some long-held habits and you may lose some extra weight.

This program is intended to restore your body, mind and spirit in ways that help you heal yourself.

The #1 question I get about seasonal Ayurvedic detox:

What’s the food like?

An Ayurvedic reset centers around warm, cooked nourishing meals full of tasty digestive spices and seasonal ingredients. Think leafy greens, carrots, celery, beets, and ginger.

Sound delicious? It’s meant to be. Food should always be tasty and well-spiced in order to promote proper digestion. During the detox program, you’ll learn more about the importance of including the six tastes into every meal, as well as spacing out mealtimes to facilitate proper digestion.

So how is a reset different than everyday eating? During a reset you give your digestive system a break for a few days by eating a smaller variety of simple, easy-to-digest meals for the sake of allowing your body to eliminate accumulated ama, or undigested gunk.

Here’s a sample daily menu you might choose during the Spring Reset:

  • Pre-breakfast
    Hot water with lemon
    Cooked apple with clove

  • Breakfast
    Barley Porridge with Sweet Spice
Refreshing Digestive Tea (Fresh Ginger + Mint)

  • Lunch
Spring Quinoa Kitchari with Red Lentils
    Daikon Pickle
    Spring Detox Tea

  • Dinner
Cleansing Mung Bean Soup with Kale and Carrots
    Spring Digestive Tea

Kitchari is an Ayurvedic staple. It’s a complete meal of rice, beans, and spices.

It’s like the chicken soup of Indian cooking. It’s great when you’re not feeling well, or want something nourishing and simple to digest. Try it anytime you want a mini reset for your digestive system.

Since every body is different, there’s lots of flexibility and freedom in the reset to choose the foods and meals that work best for you. I’ll be there to help you customize and troubleshoot along the way.

FAQs

When is the program?

The 10-Day Ayurveda Spring Reset runs from Thursday, March 14 through Sunday, March 24, 2024. See above schedule for info on live community calls on Zoom.

Can I start my detox later than the rest of the group?

Yes. It’s important that your reset works for your life and schedule. There will be some in the group that start together, and others who start later.

Who is it for?

If you want to give your digestive system a break, carve out time for your own self-care, and prepare your body for the Spring and Summer, this program is for you.

If you feel like this would add too much to your life right now, please skip this one. You can join the next one in the Fall.

Is there anyone who should not participate?

Yes, if you are someone with any of the following, it may be best not to do this program:

  • currently experiencing or recovering from serious illness or other condition

  • history of disordered eating

  • pregnant, trying to conceive or nursing

If you have questions about whether this program is for you, please contact me directly here.

How much time do I need to dedicate each day?

I recommend setting aside 45 minutes each day for cooking, as well as time to eat mindfully (which you hopefully do already). I also recommend 15 - 30 minutes each day for self-care. Some days you might choose more than others.

There are also four live Community Calls for discussion and Q&A. See above for schedule of dates and times. These are optional, recorded and meant to be helpful.

What if I can’t do all of it?

Everything is optional. You can do all of it, or some of it.

In the first live Community Call, I’ll suggest some ways you can customize your 10-day journey to best support you.

What supplies do I need?

Once you purchase the program, you have access to a shopping list of supplies to help you prepare for yourself and your kitchen for the reset. Items are mostly fresh groceries, pantry staples, like basmati rice, and spices, like ginger and cumin. You’ll be setting up your kitchen for healthful meals into the future.

How do I access the course?

Marvelous is the software I use to host my online classes and programs. You’ll set up a free personal account when you purchase the program. The live calls will connect from Marvelous to Zoom so we can see and talk to each other. You’re welcome to have your camera on or off during the class. It’s nice to see your face so you can connect with me and others, but that’s up to you.

How long do I have access to the recordings?

You have access to the course materials, community forum, and recordings until May 15, 2024.

Hi, I’m Emilie.
